Cassandra Hill’s interview with MyCity4Her, a Baltimore based media company targeting local business women who have built their businesses from the ground up.

1. Did you ever imagine yourself achieving what you have?

I’ve always believed in myself as an author, illustrator, performer and television host. I feel God blessed me with those specific talents.  I wouldn’t feel right not sharing them.

My book “It’s Your Birthday Shyann!” really impacts children whenever I perform. I teach children how to say “Happy Birthday,” in eight different languages.  I teach them that we are all more alike than we are different to advance Martin Luther King’s dream of equality for all children. When I perform, I see joy in their eyes and hear it in their laughter and in their giggles. Read the rest of the interview on MyCity4Her website.

Cassandra welcomed at WJZ Channel 13

WJZ-13 CBS Baltimore

Anticipation filled the corners of my mind the morning of December 21, 2011. Finally, I would have the opportunity to share my passion in life. My heart, mind, body and spirit are overjoyed whenever I speak about or am able to perform my latest children’s book “It’s Your Birthday Shyann!” Experience after experience has taught me that whenever I do, children from all walks of life are uplifted. I see the unbridled joy in their eyes, I hear a free spirit in their laughter, and I become very full and uplifted myself.
